Wichita Wednesday (Dec 9th) - Tammy Rothgeb

Tell us a little about yourself. When and why did you start baking?I am a wife, mom of two, and Gramma to two adorable grandkids, with 1 on the way. In high school, my mom would buy me the aluminum Wilton cake pan kits, so family gatherings or birthdays would have a "star tip" decorated cake! Later in life, I did take a cake decorating class & several cookie classes here at Cake Stuff. I also watch LOTS of cookie videos. After my first grandchild was born, my daughter wanted me to make a cake & cookies for his birthday & things kind of took off from there. What is one baking item you cannot live without?I LOVE the emulsions from Cake Stuff! I could not make anything without Creme Bouquet, Almond, and Butter Vanilla! If you could bake/decorate with anyone famous who would it be?I'm not sure how famous she is, but there is a cookie artist I follow named Nadia with My Little Bakery. She makes the most stunning works of art!Do you have a local baking business, or do you just bake/decorate for fun?I started baking for fun, but I do have a little side hustle, Gigi's Goodies. The name came from my grandson, who started calling me Gigi when he was very small.... over the last year or so, he's decided I'm just Gramma, now!
