Tell us a little about yourself. When and why did you start baking?My name is Heidi Thurston and I live in Marion. I've been married to my wonderful husband Brent for 31 years. We have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. I started baking and decorating birthday cakes for my kids when they were little. About 10 years ago, I tried decorating sugar cookies and I was hooked!What is one Cake Stuff item you cannot live without?Meringue powder AND cookie cutters, of course!If you could bake/decorate with anyone famous who would it be?I would love to decorate cookies with Amber Spiegel of SweetAmbs. I've learned a lot from her tutorials and videos.Do you have a local baking business, or do you just bake/decorate for fun?I keep busy baking from home. I've sold my cookies at farmer's markets, craft fairs, and a couple of Pop Up shops! My new job is teaching cookie decorating at Cake Stuff!
