Tell us a little about yourself. When and why did you start baking?I am Hayley Lamoree. I'm a mom of 2 girls, love to read, paint, and spend time with friends and family. I have always been a creator of some form or another, whether it was painting, drawing, or crafting. I have also been in the food industry since I held my first job. I love cooking and have a huge sweet tooth. I started doing cakes about 9 years ago. It started out as a fun side hustle with a friend and I fell in love with the artistic expression it allowed. I got to work with my hands and create works of art. I was hooked. It was the best of both worlds. I had to do more, learn more and I've never looked back.What is one Cake Stuff item you cannot live without?Ok, I'm kind of obsessed with the sprinkle bar! I use them on my homemade pop tarts to tell what flavors and love making custom sprinkle mixes for cakes. I also love the HUGE selection of cookie cutters!If you could bake/decorate with anyone famous who would it be?Oh man, that's a tough one. I would have to say Duff Goldman. He seems like he would make everyday fun and not to mention push and challenge me to do more.Do you have a local baking business, or do you just bake/decorate for fun?Yes! This year I quit my other job and started doing cakes full time! I have a home-based bakery, Sweet Crumbs Bakery! I also make custom cookies, homemade pop tarts, and custom pies.
