Tell us a little about yourself. When and why did you start baking?I started baking as a little girl, first with my aunt, then with a lady who lived in an apartment next to my grandparent's house. I never really thought about decorating until someone told me I should start decorating my own cakes since my cakes taste better than store-bought cakes. I went and bought some supplies and just started playing around and practicing. Later, I found Cake Stuff and took a few classes there. What is one Cake Stuff item you cannot live without?Cake stuff items I cannot live without...there are too many to name, but the butter-vanilla emulsion would definitely be in the top 5!If you could bake/decorate with anyone famous who would it be?There are so many... I watched cake boss for a while, so Buddy Valastro would be neat. I'm finding more now, as I search how-tos on YouTube!Do you have a local baking business, or do you just bake/decorate for fun?We do have a local business. I say we because my boyfriend helps me with things that he can. He bakes bread and cookies, packages things up, etc. Not only do we offer custom cakes, cookies, etc, but we also make quick breads and drop cookies. We participate regularly at the Farmers Market at 21st and Ridge, during the indoor events, and other markets and craft shows. We are on fb and Instagram as @betterbatterbakery316 and #betterbatterbakery316.
