Tell us a little about yourself. When and why did you start baking?I found at a young age that I love cooking, baking and entertaining. When I was in 5th grade we had to write a book to have "published" and I wrote a cookbook! It's a riot! Fast forward many years and I would mostly bake for fun and therapy. One day a dear friend asked me to help raise funds for The Muscular Dystrophy Association. I took to social media to sell cakes, cupcakes and cookies and it was an unexpected success. The overwhelming support from our community to help me raise money has inspired me to always give back. It's what drives me to stay up in the wee hours of the night to make treats that people can feel good about buying. What is one Cake Stuff item you cannot live without?I am a frequent visitor to Cake Stuff and while I absolutely love their constantly growing cookie-cutter selection, it's really their expertise and smiles I can't live without. I have learned so much from them!If you could bake/decorate with anyone famous who would it be?I am terrible at keeping up with celebrities and pop culture, but I would love to spend a day in the kitchen with Ree Drummond. Her down-to-earth personality and rustic kitchen skills shine through her cookbooks. I am an avid cookbook collector!Do you have a local baking business, or do you just bake/decorate for fun?I have a home baking business, Confections of a Midnight Baker. You can find me on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Confectionsofamidnightbaker or on Instagram@FrostingitForward. I continue my "Frosting it Forward" campaign by donating a portion of every order to a local non-profit organization.
