Wichita Wednesday (April 7th) – Jessica Camacho
Tell us a little about yourself. When and why did you start baking?
My name is Jessica Camacho. I’m a mother of 4 precious little ones and raise them with my fiancé, Stephen. Since I was little, one of my dreams was to be a baker. I started my baking journey a couple of years ago by selling Chocoflans, a Mexican dessert. Throughout my time baking, Stephen has been my number one supporter/helper. We created Rose Petal Pastries together and have been loving it ever since!
What is one Cake Stuff item you cannot live without?
I cannot live without Cake Stuff’s variety of boards and boxes! They always have what I need!
If you could bake/decorate with anyone famous who would it be?
It would definitely be Adriano Zumbo. I would love to get creative with him and explore all the elements through sweets!
Do you have a local baking business, or do you just bake/decorate for fun?
Yes! I’m the owner of Rose Petal Pastries. I wanted something catchy and feminine for the name so I decided to name it after my two-year-old, Marianie Rose. I try to make as much variety as I can when it comes to sweets. You should see my Pinterest! I have endless ideas and hope to bake them all in the future.
